Ryan Schocker, Hitting, Defense, First Base
Coach Schocker grew up in Schaumburg and played baseball at Schaumburg High School where he earned the Mid-Suburban League All-Academic Award.
In 2014, the big first baseman headed to Fontbonne University in St. Louis where he started playing immediately.
In his junior season, Ryan batted .370, led the team in RBIs and was voted 1st Team All-Conference. He finished his college career with a .330 average, having been named All-Conference two more seasons.
Ryan started teaching at Bash in 2020. He is an avid student of hitting and often brings new concepts and drills to his students. He also has an amazing passion for teaching young ballplayers. He formerly coached the Deerfield 12U Travel team and is currently a coach in the Chicago Bandits travel organization.
Coach Schocker is Blast Motion Certified.
